Premier Of South Australia Announces A New Mortal Kombat Movie Is Entering Pre-Production

Yesterday, Steven Marshall, the Premier of South Australia and a man not prone to making announcements related to video games, made a pretty big announcement related to video games. The Premier said that Warner Bros. long awaited Mortal Kombat film, seemingly doomed to development hell for ages, has finally begun pre-production in Australia. 

The Premier made the announcement as a way of showcasing how many jobs the movie would bring to the country as well as dollars to the economy:

 

This means that the movie itself is still a long way away but that producers are actually attached to the product and it's moving along toward production.
