Today's Super Smash Bros. reveals showcases a new scrolling stage based on Super Mario 3D Land.

Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai wrote on the accompanying Miiverse post, "Here's some info on the Nintendo 3DS stage called Super Mario 3D Land! First, it advances by side-scrolling…"

Sakurai added some additional shots of the stage on the Miiverse along with the one featured on the main Smash Bros. page. It sounds like the stage scrolls, pauses for a moment for some battle, and then moves on to the next venue. Sakurai says that a full rotation of the stage takes about two minutes

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS are on track for a 2014 release. For more, check out the reveals of a new Animal Crossing stage, a new Pokémon Lumiose City stage, a stage based on the Japan-only Tomodachi Collection, Diddy Kong, the Mother Brain assist trophy, the Waluigi assist trophy, LucarioZelda, the Skull KidMarthSonic, a redesigned Ray Gun, the 3DS Mii Plaza, and a male Wii Fit trainer.
