Recently Capcom Unity announced that Link’s iconic Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and green tunic, along with other weapons inspired by his adventures, will be available for your monster hunter to wear in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Link’s weapons and armor were previously announced for the Japanese version, but Capcom has now explicitly stated that they will be available for western versions.

The trailer below shows off Link’s equipment in action. In addition to the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, it appears we can except the boomerang, bombs, an over-sized bow, and some kind of bone flute. The Link (or hunter?) in the trailer also seems to be fighting using Link’s classic moves, so the equipment could come with some special moves or animations.

In Capcom’s Monster Hunter series, players customize a hunter to explore various environments and use different weapons and armor to do what you’d expect: hunt monsters. Equipment creation is a big part of the series, so crossover equipment and items like these makes a certain amount of sense.

Capcom Unity also hinted that more special equipment was planned for the action game, and said to expect more news soon. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is releasing for 3DS in early 2015. For more info on the game, check out its first Western trailer, or this interview with series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.
