Fallout 4 is exactly two months away, and it’s time to start thinking about how you’ll survive in the wasteland. Bethesda is keeping quiet on the story, but that doesn’t mean complete radio silence.

In this first of (we assume) seven videos on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat system, we learn about the importance of strength. Increasing this stat improves your carrying capacity and gives you a boost with melee weapons.

Strength alone won’t cut it out in the wastes, though. You’ll need to figure out how to balance brute force with the other six stat categories (Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck).

Fallout 4 will be out on November 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For more, check out our rundown of the QuakeCon attendee-exclusive demo from earlier this summer. You can also read about up on recently detailed post-launch DLC and mod support.
