CosBlog Submission FAQs

by Meagan Marie on Oct 01, 2009 at 05:14 AM

Want your costume featured on GameInformer.com’s CosBlog?

There are no real restrictions on who can be featured as long as the costume is appropriate for the website. Sorry ladies, no body painting. If you have a video-game related costume you would like to submit, please follow the steps below.

  • Fill out the following questionnaire:

Who: The Character
Who is the character? What series and what costume variant?

Why: The Decision
Why this particular character? What attracted you to the series or the character?

What: The Process
How long did making the costume take? What materials did you use? What was the final cost? What was the most difficult task?

Where and When: The Debut
Where did you debut your costume? (If applicable) Where was your photoshoot? How did you choose the location?

Links: The Cosplayer
Where else can we find you on the net?

  • Dig up a minimum of five high-quality photos of your costume. We’re not going to turn away snapshots of an amazing costume in poor lighting, but it’s preferred that the photo quality match that of all your hard work.
  • Include relevant credit information for the photographer, makeup artist and so on.
  • Bundle everything up and shoot an email over to meagan@gameinformer.com

Non-cosplayers: Feel free to send tips and links if you stumble across a gem that deserves time in the spotlight. We’ll do our best to contact the creator.

We’vegot a number of costumes banked at the moment, so a solid publish date can’t be given at the time of submission. However, we will contact you when your costume feature goes live.

Thanks for participating!!
