This week we talk about the recent Nintendo Direct, and two amazing games!
First off, host Matt Helgeson is joined by Andy Reiner, Brian Shea, and Ben Reeves to discuss all the news that came out of yesterday's Nintendo Direct web conference, including lots of Amiibo talk and some new game announcements.
Ben Reeves sticks around for the second segment, joined by Bryan Vore and Joe Juba to talk about Axiom Verge, a love letter to the classic Metroid games that outpaced its inspirations in some respects.
Finally, Matt Miller and Kim Wallace stop by to discuss Obsidian's crowdfunded retro PC RPG Pillars of Eternity. It's a game that both captures what was good about the PC RPGs of the past while bringing the genre up to speed with modern convenience and depth. Like Axiom Verge, this is a must-play game.
