Capcom Reflects On The Making Of Monster Hunter: World With A Series Of Videos

by Elise Favis on Feb 04, 2018 at 12:24 PM

Monster Hunter: World just released at the end of last month, and it's already a huge success. For fans that are curious about its development process, Capcom has been periodically releasing videos that look at the making of the game.

Two videos have been revealed so far, with the first focusing on concept and the second looking at design. The first video begins with producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, explaining that it was important to rethink the series and approach it differently with the latest technology. Capcom also talks about how it recruited more young staff, who could bring fresh, new ideas. Watch the video below.

The second video looks closely at different aspects of the game's design. This includes sound design, such as how an umbrella was used to create the sound of a Rathalos' flapping wings. The video also talks about challenges the team faced with console development.
