Pacific Rim Uprising Teaser Features A Familiar Voice

by Kyle Hilliard on Jul 20, 2017 at 07:12 PM

During Comic Con, a teaser was released for the upcoming sequel, Pacific Rim Uprising, and much like the trailer for the first film (and the film itself) it features a familiar voice.

In the original film Ellen McLain, who voiced GLaDOS in Portal and every other game that the character has so far appeared, played the A.I. that helped control the film's Jaeger mechs. Her voice was featured prominently in the movie's first trailer. Guillermo Del Toro, who directed the first film, said McLain's inclusion and the use of her iconic GLaDOS voice was totally intentional and even Valve-approved.

If the teaser for Uprising is any indication, it sounds like McLain and her GLaDOS voice are returning for part two. You can check out the teaser below.

We've reached out to McLain's representatives to confirm her involvement and will update this story if and when we hear back.
