I have a confession to make. I am a filthy Bioshock 2 apologist. Yes, we are real. We live beneath piers and oil platforms, subsisting off flounder and occasionally shouting our wretched opinions into the deep for all the creatures in the sea to hear.
Sure, the first game's got the more memorable one-liners and plot twists, but Bioshock 2 (so often dismissed as a shoddy sequel no one asked for) has a pounding heart and deeply satisfying character arcs. Also, one of the best ending monologues in anything ever.
