Three Street Fighter Games And Super Mario 64 DS Coming To 3DS And Wii U Tomorrow

by Kyle Hilliard on Aug 24, 2016 at 02:31 PM

The 3DS is getting an influx of street fighting tomorrow, and the Wii U is getting that other version of Super Mario 64.

Tomorrow you will be able to find Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, and Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the 3DS eShop for $7.99 each. Since they're Super Nintendo games, you will only be able to play them on a New 3DS.

On Wii U, you will be able to play the DS launch title, Super Mario 64 DS for $9.99. The remake adds 30 new stars and Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario as playable characters, each with their own character-specific abilities.

The Super Nintendo is celebrating 25 years right now, which is why we recently put together our list of the 25 best Super Nintendo games. You can find that list here. Some of these are currently available for 3DS. Hopefully all of them will be available eventually.

Our Take
I'm a big fan of Super Mario 64 DS because it's a game people always seem to forget about. Or at least, it's one I always feel I forget about. It takes one of the best 3D platformers ever made and adds three additional characters and new levels. It's a great remake, and I remember it fondly, especially early in the 3DS's lifespan when there wasn't a ton to play.
