Nintendo Adds SpongeBob SquarePants Splatfest To Splatoon

Splatoon players will have to choose between team SpongeBob and team Patrick in the game's next SplatFest multiplayer event this month based on the SpongeBob SquarePants show.

The timed online Turf War mode event starts on April 23 at 6 a.m. Pacific until April 24 at 12 p.m. Pacific, and it'll be the first time that players from North America and Europe can play together.

Given that the game already has SpongeBob references in it, it only makes sense to bring in the real thing, as short as this SplatFest is.
