SWTOR’s Knights Of The Fallen Empire Saga Continues With Visions In The Dark

by Joe Buchholz on Mar 17, 2016 at 09:02 AM

BioWare and Lucasfilm announced today that Visions in the Dark will plunge players into the hostile wilderness of planet Odessen in Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Knights of the Fallen Empire. The next chapter of the MMO’s Fallen Empire saga will release April 7.

Visions in the Dark is the third of seven chapters that explore the backstory of the war-hardened Outlander. Odessen will host the battle against the immortal Emperor Valkorion, and the episode is primed to reveal the Outlander’s connection to the Eternal Empire’s head of state.

Subscribers of Star Wars: The Old Republic will be able to play Visions in the Dark during their subscription period, and if you’re subscribed before April 1 you will get an HK-55-based weapon set including a sniper rifle, blaster pistol, and vibrosword.

If you want to experience the unfolding narrative in Knights of the Fallen Empire, you can play the first chapter as the level 60 Outlander right out of the gate. If you’re curious whether or not it’s a good time to jump into Star Wars: The Old Republic, read our feature on the topic here.

Our Take
I've been on the fence about hopping into Star Wars: The Old Republic's world for awhile now. Reading slivers of the Outlander's tale has definitely piqued my curiosity, and knowing that BioWare has made it easy to experience this content without starting from square one is enticing.
