No Man’s Sky May Be Priced At $60, With Pre-Orders Open This Week

by Kyle Hilliard on Mar 01, 2016 at 10:08 AM

A listing on the PlayStation Blog, which has already been removed, listed No Man's Sky with a $59.99 price and a very close release date.

The last we heard, No Man's Sky was slated for a June 2016 release date, but that was as specific as developer Hello Games and Sony was willing to get. The listing on the PlayStation Blog, which has already been pulled, gave No Man's Sky a March 3 release date and a $59.99 price. We've reached out to both Sony and Hello Games for confirmation on this date and price and will update this story if and when we receive a response.

Below you will find an image of the blog before Sony updated it to remove the the No Man's Sky details.

This isn't the first time we've prematurely gotten excited about a surprise release date for No Man's Sky.

Our Take
It's likely these details were posted in error, so I wouldn't get too excited about the prospect of playing No Man's Sky on Thursday. The March 3 date, despite says "Out" could also be referring to when the pre-order will be available. That price, however, is not too surprising considering the intended scope of the game.
