Platinum Pokes Fun At Absurd Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leaks, Game Reveal Tomorrow
At this point, the only people that haven’t acknowledged that a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is coming is publisher Activision. Screenshots and achievements have been out in the wild for weeks. At least developer Platinum Games is having some fun with it.
The developer tweeted a not so subtle gif promising an “official leak” on January 26. The tweet carries a hashtag with the obvious TMNT abbreviation and a shot of a pile of pizzas with a sai stuck in them.

We suspect that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan (if that is its final name) will be out in fairly short order. The game was first rumored in November 2015 and received an achievement list on January 4, with screens showing up shortly thereafter.
A sequel to the Michael Bay-produced movie featuring the mutated heroes will be out on June 3, 2016.

Our Take
Games usually don’t get achievement lists until they are nearing release. The only thing that would then hold this one back is brand synergy. Releasing a game alongside the movie is marketing 101 (though that doesn’t mean we will necessarily need to wait that long).
