Star Wars Battlefront Unlikely To Receive Episode VII DLC
If you watched The Force Awakens and have spent a considerable amount of time wondering what great stuff they were going to bring from the film to Battlefront, we've got some bad news.
A twitter user asked the official Battlefront account whether or not the game would have any Episode VII DLC and was given this response:
While the wording of that statement isn't quite final, it does seem like the door is probably shut on any DLC based on the new movie.
Our Take
While it is a bummer that we probably won't see any DLC inspired by the new movie, it ultimately makes sense. Why release a few maps and modes for $20 when you could make an entirely new, full-priced game set in Episode VII's time? Still, an influx of Episode VII content could have made the disappointment fans feel over the lack of content in Battlefront sting a good deal less.
