Arcade Fighter Pokken Tournament Coming To Wii U
The Pokémon Company and Bandai Namco have announced that the arcade-first Pokémon fighting game, Pokken Tournament, will be headed home. The game has been announced for Wii U.
The projected worldwide release for the home version is Spring 2016. Along with the announcement of the Wii U installment, Bandai Namco announced a new character: Pikachu Libre.
We know Pikachu likes to wear costumes, and a luchador outfit fits right in with the fighting theme. We’ll update should we receive more information about the Pokken Tournament on Wii U.
Our Take
A solid Pokémon game for a Nintendo home console is long overdue. Amiibo collectors might want to brace for impact, though. This seems like a perfect fit for the figures.
