Tearaway Unfolded Arrives In September At A Budget Price

Sony has confirmed the release date for the PlayStation 4 version of its Vita hit Tearaway. You'll be able to play this revised version, compatible with a controller instead of the Vita, in September.

The PlayStation 4 version is priced at $39.99, and those that pre-order on the PlayStation store get the upgraded "Crafted Edition." This includes a gold stamp and gold leaf for your messenger, Journey and Kratos costumes, and the soundtrack.

You'll also get decoration items from Lemmings, Gravity Rush, No Man's Sky, The Order: 1886, God of War, Infamous, The Last of Us, and Killzone. There are also paper craft plans for Sackboy and Baby Wendigo included.

Tearaway Unfolded will be out on September 8. For more, you can read our review of the original Vita release and check out how Media Molecule is planning on using the Dual Shock 4.

Our Take
I adored Tearaway, as it made wonderful use of the Vita's unique features. I'm curious to see how the game has been adapted for console and how Media Molecule is maintaining the charm without some of those more tactile elements.
