Publisher Versus Evil has announced a slate of four titles it will bring to PlayStation 4 early next year. Headlining the bunch is Stoic Studios' Viking-themed strategy title, The Banner Saga (our review).

The publisher will also be bringing Pencil Test Studios' Armikrog to the console. The claymation-style game will also be coming to PC, Mac, and Linux early in the new year. Armikrog was created by the mind behind Earthworm Jim and features voice acting from Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Michael J. Nelson (Mystery Science Theatre 3000), and Rob Paulson (The Animaniacs).

Kyn is a tactical title created by a two-person team in Holland. It also features Viking themes. Finally, Toren will make its way to the PlayStation 4 by way of Brazilian developer Swordtales.

All four of these games will be available at the PlayStation Experience. The event will take place in Las Vegas on December 6 and 7.

Our Take
There is a dearth of tactical games on the new consoles, so it's great to see The Banner Saga making the leap. I'm very interested to see Armikrog's claymation visuals in action, especially given the need to account for animations connected to unpredictable player behavior.
