The lights are on
Doug TenNapel is best known for creating Earthworm Jim, and his work on the clay animated point-and-click adventure game The Neverhood. TenNapel has not worked in video games for more than a decade, but thanks to Kickstarter, he is making a return with Armikrog.
TenNapel and Pencil Test Studios have already made substantial progress on the game, showcasing a large amount of impressive animation in its Kickstarter pitch video. According to the video, much of the game's design and puzzles have also already been mapped out. The game will be a point-and-click adventure game, and appears to be a spiritual successor to The Neverhood, with its clay animation, and similar art style.
The team also has an impressive cast of actors already attached to the project with Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Rob Paulsen (Pinky and the Brain), and Michael J. Nelson (Mystery Science Theater 3000) among others.
TenNapel and Pencil Test Studios are asking for $900,000 to complete the project, and have already raised just under $100,000 with 29 days to go. To check out the Kickstarter project, head here.

Sounds good to me! Even though out of any game that's clay inspired I'd like a new Clay Fighters the most please! Best fighting game ever!
I always thought Earthworm Jim was an awesome character. This game has to happen!
When I dropped this I dropped everything and immediately backed the project! I didn't even bother reading the full Kickstarter page until I had backed it. Anything by the creator of the Neverhood is 100% awesome in my book.
I've already texted/emailed all my friends and told them to back it too. This thing needs to meet AND EXCEED its goal!
This should be even better.
If I had the money to back this, I would
clay animation? sweet the only clay game I have played is clay fighters so this looks neat I will not give to the kickstarter but when and if it comes out I'll give it a shot.
that's insane...since i started watching the video and refreshed the page..they gained nearly 2000 extra dollars...wtf lol
I'M a big fan of earth worm jim and i hope you really succeed with your upcoming game that's coming out.
That looks amazing. This and Star Citizen are making me wish I had more disposable income right now...
900K for a claymation point and click game, sounds like a scam to me
Uh, yes, please! I LOVED The Neverhood and Skullmonkeys.
The Neverhood is one of my favourite games - had to back this project!
Yay! Claymation gaming!
