Sing Along With GTA V’s CD And Vinyl Limited Edition Soundtracks

by Mike Futter on Nov 03, 2014 at 08:51 AM

To celebrate the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, Rockstar is packaging up the soundtrack for collectors. You’ll be able to purchase the 59-track collection on CD or, if you prefer the pure sound of a phonograph, vinyl.

The CD bundle includes three discs, a gold-brick shaped USB drive, artwork, and a poster in special packaging. The vinyl edition includes six records, a booklet, and a poster. The total production run is limited to 5,000, with sales being conducted online and at retail.

The game’s original score is included along with the original music played in the game while cruising around Los Santos. The soundtracks will be available to purchase starting on December 9. We’ve inquired with Rockstar about pricing and the developer says it doesn't have anything to share at this time.

Our Take
Rockstar does a number of things very well with the GTA series, not least among them amazing soundtrack curation. I’ve still got my Vice City soundtrack and look forward to adding this to my collection (assuming that digital release is also planned).
