Mortal Kombat X Is Getting A Live-Action Series Tie-In
Warner Bros. has announced that a live-action Mortal Kombat series is in the works in partnership with Blue Ribbon Content. Blue Ribbon, which is owned by Warner, is a new team focused on short-form content.
The Mortal Kombat X tie-in will feature some of the new characters as well as returning stalwarts. Talent has not yet been named for the project, and a specific release date has not been announced.
Mortal Kombat X is due out on April 14, 2015, for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more, check out our preview from Gamescom.

Our Take
I’ve been extremely impressed with the more recent Mortal Kombat live-action productions. I’m hopeful this new series continues on that path, even without Mortal Kombat Legacy’s Kevin Tancharoen.
