Banjo-Kazooie Composer Posts Entire Soundtrack Online For Download

by Kyle Hilliard on Oct 04, 2014 at 10:26 AM

Grant Kirkhope, composer for Rare who created the Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack along with many others, has posted the soundtrack in its entirety online for download.

When we say the entire soundtrack, we mean everything. Among the 164 tracks, you will find familiar tunes, but you will also find the small musical cues and fanfares related to things like opening doors and collecting certain objects.

You can name your price to download the soundtrack by heading to Kirkhope's Bandcamp page here. I'm a fan of track 5 myself.

For more Banjo-Kazooie, a game we have a lot of love here at Game Informer, check out our episode of Replay featuring the game below. If you've never played the Banjo-Kazooie games, but want to you're in luck and you can learn more by heading here.

For more from Kirkhope about his hope for more Banjo-Kazooie, as well as a spiritual successor that never quite came together, hit the links.

Our Take
I hope other composers take a cue from Kirkhope and post their soundtracks online in this way. He's not the first to do it, but I like the Bandcamp format, and I am always surprised when it's difficult to find soundtracks for games in an easy-to-grab way like this.
