by Ben Reeves on Sep 17, 2014 at 01:08 PM

If you're looking to catch up on old Final Fantasy games then the PC might be your best tool. Final Fantasy IV is the latest in Square-Enix's popular RPG series to head over to the PC via Steam.

Steam has already amassed a nice collection of Final Fantasy titles, but now it can add Final Fantasy IV to that list.

First released for the SNES in 1991, Final Fantasy IV was the first game in the series to feature the innovative Active Time Battle system. The game was actually released in the U.S. as Final Fantasy II, but it 2007 it was remade for the DS with voiced cutscenes and 3D graphics. The DS version is the one that PC players can now access via Steam. Fans looking for a classic Japanese RPG with a modern skin should check out Final Fantasy IV, which is out now on PC for $15.99.

Our Take
I wish this had come out earlier in the summer when I was going back to older games. This is still cool, but now I'm busy with the holiday rush of games like Destiny, Wasteland 2, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
