Final Fantasy III (Not to be confused with Final Fantasy VI) is now available on Steam. While the title has been available on a variety of platforms including iOS since its 1990 debut, it holds a special place in the series for being the first numbered title that featuring the job-change system.

Job change systems have featured prominently in many of the Final Fantasy titles, including the latest MMORPG offering Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, where players can theoretically play all classes on a single character.

Our Take
Final Fantasy III can be easy to overlook, especially for players that were introduced to the series in the SNES era or beyond, but it’s a solid play once you get past the initial areas that absolutely feel their age. Once you unlock a few batches of classes things get enjoyable and interesting.
