Nerdcore rapper Random AKA Mega Ran is big and only getting bigger. You may have seen him perform at PAX, or you could have been introduced to his music here at Game Informer or any number of other outlets. Now, one of the more popular nerd musicians has his own documentary in conjunction with soul/funk band, The Lo-Classics.

The 30 minute documentary follows Mega Ran on a southeast tour earlier this year through Arizona, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Pre-orders for the film (releasing August 25) come with in-depth liner notes and exclusive live tracks.

We’ve got one of those available for you, and it’s based on one of the best RPGs of the 16-bit era. Ruler’s Back is based on a track from the Final Fantasy VI soundtrack.

You can pre-order the Mega-Lo-Mania documentary here. For more, check out a recent Mega Ran tribute to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
