The lights are on
You may remember last month when I posted a YouTube video by great nerd rapper Random featuring a track that was all about Final Fantasy VII's tragic love interest, Aeris. Now Random is back with another FF VII-inspired rap, and we're debuting it exclusively at Game Informer.
The new track, titled "Mako Reactor," will be featured on Black Materia, a full CD of hip-hop songs from Random based off of Final Fantasy VII's music and story. Black Materia is scheduled to release in full at the end of this month. In the mean time, enjoy the video and music for "Mako Reactor" below and check out Random's website for info on preordering the CD.

Pretty good, personally I like his Aeris rap better.
I never played the game so I dont know what any of that means but it was pretty good rapping.
Hah, awesome.
Wicked
Straight outta Midgar
Very nice! Actually one of my favorite tracks from the game. This guy is awesome.
Thank god I am not dead yet Mega-Ran and K-Murdock are so awesome. And just to think I have all but given up on hip-hop.
Raptacular!
Wow. This is awesome. Great to see that GI got the exclusive. Seem to be a fantastic fit and I hope to see some more of his stuff on the podcast!
Definitely getting the album. Favorite game of all time. Finally nice to see a good spin off even though it's not a game.
good, team teamworks' vinyl fantasy 7 was awesome, but we needed some original lyrics too
Okay...
This guy sounds a little bit like Busta rhymes
Even as someone who didn't play FFVII for more than 2 hours, this is thoroughly enjoyable. Perhaps because this was in the first 30min of the game XD
It ought to be interesting to hear how this CD comes together. First we had rock operas, now we may be seeing the dawn of the next age: Videogame operas. Who woulda thunk it.
It's sick that he uses the awesome original songs from the game in his beats, too.
