Reader Discussion: Do Betas Usually Reel You In Or Turn You Off?

This year has seen a number of betas that have, for all intents and purposes, been open to the public. Titanfall, Battlefield Hardline, and now, tomorrow, Destiny have all been made available for public testing.

Later this year, Halo 5: Guardians and Fable Legends are among the titles that will be cracked open and exposed to the general public. Beta tests are becoming a more ingrained part of the culture.

How do you usually approach betas? Do you jump in to find out if you want to keep going with the retail version? Are you an avid tester, filing bug reports and feedback, or do you treat them as glorified demos?
