Twitch Still Playing Pokémon, Adds Pokémon Stadium Gambling Component

by Kyle Hilliard on May 04, 2014 at 10:49 AM

Twitch Plays Pokémon, the live streamed community controlled Pokémon game, is still going strong having made its way to Platinum, and it has added a new wrinkle.

Along with the typical Twitch Plays Pokémon gameplay we've come to appreciate (the community is about 20 hours into Pokémon Platinum) viewers can now bet on Pokémon Stadium 2 matches. Viewers start with ¥1000 to bet on matches, which is done by entering certain commands into the chat. From there you earn and lose money based on the outcome of the fight.

You can check out the stream by heading here. For more on Twitch Plays Pokémon, you can read about the fictional religion that spawned from the stream here, read about the impressive viewership the stream generated here, and read our interview with the creator of the stream here.
