Twitch Shares Twitch Plays Pokémon Viewership Stats

Twitch Plays Pokémon was a huge phenomenon for the streaming service, and it has shared a few of the viewership stats surrounding the 16 day journey.

According to a post on Twitch's blog, the stream had more than nine million viewers. Of those nine million, 1,165,140 participated issuing more than 122,000,000 commands. At its peak, there were 121,000 concurrent viewers, and the stream had a total of 36 million views overall by the time it completed.

That's a whole lot of people watching other people play a video game that released in 1998. Streaming video games online becomes a bigger and more popular phenomenon every day.
