Sony has confirmed that the odd indie title Murasaki Baby, to which we first were introduced at Gamescom 2013, will be coming to North America. The title is in development at Italian studio Ovosonico.

In Murasaki Baby, players are responsible for guiding a young girl through her strange dream world. Using the Vita’s touch screen, you’ll take her hand and change the mood of the world to solve puzzles.

If you’re planning on attending IndieCade East in New York City this weekend, you’ll have a chance to get your hands on the title. Murasaki Baby is due out later this year. You can read our hands-on impressions from Gamescom 2013 here.

Our Take
Murasaki Baby appears to have some interesting puzzles to complement its dark aesthetic. The Vita has become home to unique experiences, and I’m always glad to find one that takes advantage of the handheld’s features.
