World Of Warcraft Subs Up
Publisher/developer Activision Blizzard today touted that subscriptions for World of Warcraft are up for the year.
According to internal estimates by the company itself, WoW had approximately 7.6 million subscribers by the end of the third quarter, and this was up to 7.8 million as of the end of the calendar year 2013.
"This quarter demonstrates that games like Call of Duty and World of Warcraft engage and entertain our fans year round," said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard.
Based on numbers from last summer, it would appear that the MMORPG's sub numbers are holding steady.

While it doesn't look like a huge jump, perhaps this will stall any speculation of the game going free-to-play anytime soon.
