Final Borderlands 2 DLC Packs Announced

by Mike Futter on Feb 05, 2014 at 01:58 AM

We’re reaching the end of the line. After 18 months of consistent support covering four major expansions, two new playable characters, and a handful of small add-ons, 2K Games and Gearbox are getting ready to mark Borderlands 2 as “complete.”

IGN is reporting that two more headhunter packs are in the works. The fourth will coincide with Valentine’s Day, putting Mad Moxxi in the spotlight. Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre, which will star the two families from the core game’s Clan War mission, is due out on February 11 for $2.99.

The final pack, Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax, will be out in April. For more on Borderlands 2, check out our review.

Our Take
Kudos to Gearbox and 2K Games for continuing to support Bordlerands 2 for a year and a half. With as much support as the pair has thrown behind our second trip to Pandora, I’m eager to find out what’s in store for new generation consoles. Perhaps a new Borderlands is one of the over 10 in-development, new-generation games Take-Two mentioned on its recent earnings call.
