This week was supposed to mark the release of downloadable PlayStation 4 title Basement Crawl. The game is complete, but developer Bloober Team has decided to put off the release because of new opportunities.

“Although a difficult decision, we decided that the best choice for us, as a team, was to delay Basement Crawl so that we could take full advantage of these opportunities,” CEO Piotr Babieno writes. “We will be able leverage those new partnerships to further grow and improve the game while still providing an amazingly fun multiplayer experience for PS4 owners.”

The title is modeled after Bomberman and designed for multiplayer experiences. You can see a trailer here.

Our Take
Bloober Team continues to suggest that the title will coming exclusively to PlayStation 4, so this delay isn’t because of an Xbox One port or console release parity. This could mean a PC release, or a slot in an upcoming PlayStation Plus lineup, though.
