Eutechnyx Announces MOBA Set In Warhammer 40K

by Isaac Perry on Dec 02, 2013 at 12:57 PM

Today Eutechnyx announced Storm of Vengeance, a MOBA set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K universe. Players will battle on planet Piscina IV and can choose to fight as the bloodthirsty orks or the perennially cool dark angel space marines.

This is a new approach to the franchise, leaving the turn-based or real-time strategy for a “lane strategy game.” Storm of Vengeance is set for a 2014 release on PC and mobile platforms.

Our Take

As a long-time Warhammer fan, I like to seek out new ways to experience the universe. I’m keeping an eye on the MMO Eternal Crusade. Storm of Vengeance could pan out to be fun for my mobile device and could do well to calm my anticipation for the MMO.

However, Eutechnyx has mostly worked on NASCAR racing games. They’ve went away from their formula before with Ride to Hell, but people weren’t too pleased (at least not for the right reasons). I won’t get too excited until I see it in action.
