Detailed FAQ Reveals How The Pokémon Bank And Transporter Will Work

by Kyle Hilliard on Nov 26, 2013 at 02:39 PM

The Pokémon Bank And Poké Transporter are coming late next month, and Nintendo has published a large FAQ about the upcoming service and application.

If you're unfamiliar with the Pokémon Bank And Poké Transporter, it offers a way for Pokémon players to store and bring their captured creatures from Black and Black 2 and White and White 2 into Pokémon X & Y.

You can check out the full FAQ on the official Pokémon X & Y website, which details a number of important features. You'll be able to store up to 3,000 Pokémon with the bank, move multiple creatures at a time, along with many other worthwhile features. To use the Pokémon Bank, it will cost $4.99 a year, but if you just want to transfer your Black & White Pokémon into X & Y once, there will be a free trial period for the service. For all the information, which addresses details like, will the Pokémon who evolve via trading evolve when deposited in the bank? (the answer is no), head here. Pokémon Bank And Poké Transporter will be available for download on December 27.

Our Take
Pokémon X & Y launched in October, so it will still take awhile for this service to become available, but I think the players most excited to use it will still be playing the games well into next year. Also Nintendo seems to have long-term plans for the bank and transporter, so the more polish the better.
