Shantae: Half-Genie Hero ended its Kickstarter campaign on Friday earning $776,084, in pledges towards its $400,000 goal and another $35,878.00 through Paypal donations.
It met its $400,000 goal near the end of September, and earned more over the following weeks to eventually meet four of its nine stretch goals. In total, developer WayForward walked away from its Shantae campaign with $811,962 from Kickstarter and Paypal to devote towards the development of Half-Genie Hero.
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is planned for release late next year on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC.

Our Take
It's very exciting to see Shantae meet is goal and more. Shantae has always been an underrated series, so I am glad to see its sequel planned for release on so many platforms.
