PlayStation Plans Extensive San Diego Comic Con Showing

by Mike Futter on Jul 12, 2013 at 09:23 AM

San Diego Comic Con is next week, and Sony has a surprise for those of you planning to be there. The publisher is bringing a host of titles for the Vita, PlayStation 3 and, yes, the PlayStation 4. That's right. This is the public's first chance to get hands-on time with Sony's next-generation console.

The publisher has provided a list of titles you can expect on the show floor. For PlayStation 4, you'll be able to get your hands on Driveclub, Knack, and Octodad: Dadliest Catch.

PlayStation 3 titles include Gran Turismo 6, Diablo III, Puppeteer, Beyond: Two Souls, and Batman: Arkham Origins. You'll also have the chance to check out some of the Vita's upcoming slate including Tearaway, Killzone: Mercenary, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, Dragon's Crown, Spelunky, and The Walking Dead.

San Diego Comic Con starts on Thursday July 17 and runs through Sunday July 21.

Our Take
Most of these titles are unreleased, which alone makes the PlayStation booth a draw for SDCC attendees. Add in that this is the first public hands-on opportunity with the PlayStation 4, and you'd best carve out some time to wait in line. Don't pass up the Vita titles either. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, Tearaway, and Dragon's Crown are all worth your attention.
