The lights are on
Blizzard recently announced that Diablo III would officially be coming to Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, and they had a playable demo on the PAX East floor of the PS3 version. While it's largely the same game as its PC original, the developer demonstrated some smart tweaks to the title.
One of the most noteworthy is a new evade roll, which is activated by pressing the right analog stick in the direction you want to move (just like in God of War). It felt natural and helpful, and rolling through barrels proved to be a fun distraction as well.
Powers and attacks are mapped to triggers and face buttons, and a handy legend in the bottom left of the screen lets you know what button does what at all times. Considering most players will be playing from farther away than they would on PC, the camera view is now closer to the player. Another added feature is the ability to quickly cycle through and equip newly-looted gear with the d-pad.
One of the most impressive features is the ability to play with four players online or locally with no split screen whatsoever. It can be in any combination, so you could have three players on a couch playing against one person across the country.
As someone who never played the PC version of Diablo III, I was very interested in what I played today at PAX East. Everything seemed to control naturally, and the visuals look great. No release date has been announced for Diablo III on consoles, but we hope to hear more soon.

I can't wait to play this
Never played a Diablo game before but I'll definitely check this out.
This all sounds good to me. Thanks for the update. Keep 'em coming!
The more I find out, the more interested I get for this game.
You win wallet, this time.
nice as it sounds n much as i'd kinda like to play it i refuse to buy this due to the way they handled the pc version ( my preferred platform for this type of game) in regards to the forced online for single player mode. Yes its not the same platform but its still the same game and if they can do it for 1 theres no reason to to for the other, sometimes you gotta stand on principle sadly n this is 1 of those times for me :/
I have never played a Diablo game, I am not a pc player, so I'm glad to give it a try on Playstation.
I like the idea of an evade roll. I might play this over the PC version.
