Fuse Demo Coming Next Week

by Jeff Cork on May 03, 2013 at 04:50 AM

Insomniac CEO Ted Price says that playing the studio's third-person shooter, Fuse, is believing. Players won't have long to wait, with the announcement that the game's demo is coming next week.

The demo is coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 7 in advance of the game's May 28 release date.

In Fuse, players can hop between each of the game's four characters while in combat. Each of the characters has their own unique abilities and skills, and these can be combined with their teammates' powers for devastating effect. Insomniac says that character progression is a big part of the game as well, which could address a central puzzle: How do you become attached to a particular character when you're bouncing around between her and three others?

If you'd like to catch up on the game's story, Insomniac has released a few trailers to get you up to speed on both the heroes and villains. Insomniac streamed about 40 minutes of the game a while back as well, and you can see that over here. (Skip ahead about five minutes to see the gameplay.)
