by Ben Reeves on Apr 26, 2013 at 03:44 PM

The best Resident Evil game of last year wasn't Resident Evil 6. It was actually the handheld game Resident Evil: Revelations for 3DS. Soon console players will be able to play the game themselves. Don't worry if you're not sold on the game based on our review, you'll be able to try it out for free.

The upcoming demo will let players infiltrating the cruise ship Queen Zenobia as Jill Valentine searches for missing BSAA members Chris Redfield and Jessica Sherawat. Capcom hasn't revealed an exact release for the demo yet, but it will be available via Xbox LIVE, PSN, Nintendo eShop, and Steam.

Check out the first in a series of Resident Evil: Revelations developer diaries where the designers discuss the heritage of the series and how they looked back at previous games for inspiration while working on Revelations.

Resident Evil Revelations releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC on May 21.
