Bravely Default Coming To North America

by Mike Futter on Apr 17, 2013 at 06:57 AM

RPG fans are a vocal and voracious bunch, and that sound of cheering you hear is in response to news that Square Enix is bringing Silicon Studio's Bravely Default to North American shores. The 2014 release was announced this morning during a largely 3DS-focused Nintendo Direct.

Not much was revealed about the title, but we do know that the turn-based battles provide an option to hold attacks for stronger assaults (called "defaulting") or launch into battle from the start. This type of risk/reward structure will hopefully set the combat apart from other RPGs.

Silicon Studio is known to many for their work on 3D Dot Game Heroes. While the wait for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy won't be an easy one, at least we know that it's coming to 3DS in North America.
