Borderlands 2 Hammerlock DLC Experiencing Compatibility Pack Errors

by Ben Reeves on Jan 15, 2013 at 06:33 AM

Borderlands 2's new DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, released today for Xbox 360 and PC, but some Xbox 360 owners are having trouble downloading the new compatibility pack that allows them to play online.

Everytime Gearbox releases a new digital add-on for Borderlands 2, it releases a compatibility pack, which allows users to continue playing with each other online regardless of the DLC they've downloaded. These compatibility packs are required to play online, and since a lot of players are seeing their Compatibility Pack download stall out at 99 percent, that means that a lot of people aren't able to play Borderlands 2 online.

Gearbox recently tweeted that some user have been able to download the pack properly and is continuing to work with Microsoft on the problem.

While you wait for this fiasco to get sorted out, read our impressions of the Hammerlock DLC here.
