PlayStation Vita Sales Hit 2.2 Million
Sony says worldwide sales of PlayStation Vita has reached 2.2 million through June 30.
The last sales update we had was from May when CEO Kaz Hirai said the company sold 1.8 million. During Gamescom last week, Sony said it's not dropping the price of the Vita this year despite struggling sales.
The sales number was first reported by German website PlayFront in an interview and later confirmed by a SCEE spokesperson in a statement to Joystiq. We've reached out to SCEA to see if this sales number is either shipped to retailers or sold to consumers.
