Rod Fergusson Joins Irrational Games

by Jim Reilly on Aug 09, 2012 at 12:00 PM

Epic Games director of production Rod Fergusson announced he's joining Irrational Games, makers of BioShock Infinite. Rod's departure was first reported by Kotaku earlier this afternoon and later confirmed via Twitter.

Though he didn't say what projects he's working on, Fergusson is likely helping development on BioShock Infinite, which has seen a number of key employees leave recently. "I've played Infinite and it's amazing! Can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it," he said.

Fergusson spent nearly 8 years at Epic Games in an executive producer role. Prior to that, he spent 10 years working at Microsoft as a program manager. One of the first projects he worked on was Microsoft Train Simulator.
