Microsoft Surface Release Date Announced

The company's newest tablet will hit shelves the same time as Windows 8.

When the newest version of the OS releases on October 26 this year, consumers will be able to experience it on Microsoft's Surface tablet. There are two versions of Surface to be released, one in October featuring an ARM chip set, and another to be released roughly 90 days later featuring an Intel-based processor.
