We Might Not Have Seen The Last Of Solid Snake

by Jim Reilly on Jun 20, 2012 at 11:06 AM

Metal Gear Solid 5 still hasn't been officially announced, but that hasn't stopped series creator Hideo Kojima from talking about the next game.

Speaking in an interview with French gaming magazine IG, Kojima says the next game uses his company's new Fox Engine, and will be more of an "infiltration game, with characters who can interact, as seen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution."

Things the interview doesn't answer is how far along the next Metal Gear game is and whether or not Kojima is at the helm. As for Solid Snake? "We have not yet finished with Solid Snake, despite the fact that I wanted to let him die at the end of Guns of the Patriots," Kojima said.

This past February, Konami began hiring for the next Metal Gear game for high-end consoles and PC.
