Peace walker leads RIGHT into it. It says "Next" as if he's saying it sarcastically which means its a prequel that starts after PW, oh please oh please oh please be a remake of MG.

Maybe the best thing I've read all day! Sounds like the Xbox might finally be getting a full on Metal Gear game, instead of just HD collections and spinoffs. Its gonna be hard to decide which system to get it on though. Oh well, when the time comes I guess. Just excited to know its on the way.

Hey, Jim. There's a mistake in there. The concept of art with a dog is not with Old Snake, it's with Naked Snake/Big Boss. Old Snake was Solid Snake's handle in MGS4. Sorry, seeing that turned my OCD coils on.

kojima will be involed in every metal gear game whether he likes it or not. i like it, but he has been whating other people to do it for the longest time.

I am more excited for the Fox engine than anything...cool artwork too.

Thats not old snake. that is big boss. notice the eyepatch? on another note, I am sooo glad its coming to pc. I thought that after switching over I would miss out on metal gear. glad that is not the case.

I just got done playing through every single one over again...Man do I love those games. Especially MGS2. I can play that game over and over and over again and never get tired.

The only 2 things I hope Kojima gets right with the next Metal Gear game are...

A) Shooting mechanics. The reason I love the Metal Gear series is because you really can play it how you want. With MGS4, Kojima and crew made the shooting mechanics feel like a modern 3rd person shooter would...only a hell of a lot more clunky. Polish it up. If on my 20th playthrough I want to play it like a straight up shooter, I should be able to without having to wrestle with bad aiming.

B) No re-spawning enemies. I loved MGS4 just as much as the next guy, but the combat seemed pointless since the enemies would just keep respawning over and over again. I never felt like I had made any impact on the battlefield, or felt like I was making a difference in the game world with my awesome skills since enemies would just keep flowing out of spawn points. It takes all the fun out of it when enemies just keep coming and coming and coming.

I'll buy just about anything Hideo Kojima lays his hands on, so call me intrigued. Let's hope we don't have to wait two years into the next console life cycle to finally get our hands on more Metal Gear.

Oh god, I'm excited for everything Metal Gear.  Favorite series by far.

A remake of MG would be fun, even though I'd much rather have a WWII-The-Boss-storming-Normandy prequel.
