THQ Forgoes E3 Booth

by Matthew Kato on May 03, 2012 at 12:06 PM

It's been done before: a publisher decides not to have a big, sexy booth on the floor of E3, but the company still has a presence at the industry event. Like Activision before it, THQ has decided not to have a booth at E3 this year.

GamesIndustry International reports that although THQ is not paying for a booth on the show floor, they'll still be present.

"We're not producing a booth, but we will be participating in E3. We will be showing games to the E3 judges at their event coming up, and we'll be hosting a press and business center at the show for meetings (as well as participating with first party activities)," the company told the site.

The company says that it's in "a much different place" than when it needed to make a decision on the booth, and it's easy to speculate that this refers to the financial troubles the company has reported this year.
