Part of the reason that many gamers found themselves pleasantly pulled in by brutal platforming and puzzles of Limbo was its dark overtones and unresolved mysteries. Who were the shadowy figures attacking this seemingly innocent child? What was up with that horrific giant spider? Where were these nightmarish assaults taking place?
