Activision Announces Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection

by Jeff Marchiafava on Feb 09, 2012 at 10:57 AM

Want more Modern Warfare 3, but don't feel like paying for Elite? Today Activision revealed when the first of the Elite DLC will be available for the general public.

During today's investors call, Activision announced it will be releasing something called the Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection, which is "a compilation of content previously released to Call of Duty Elite premium members." This presumably includes the three new multiplayer maps that have thus far been released: Liberation, Overwatch, and Piazza. It may or may not also incorporate the new Elite content planned for March, which will consist of another new map and two Spec-Ops missions. Activision only announced an Xbox 360 version, which is due out this March, but we're guessing PS3 and PC versions won't be that far behind. In the same call, Kotick also announced Activision's plans to release a new Call of Duty title sometime this year.
